Who runs this site and sends our emails

Sites da Terra is the trading name of the website business of Tiago Silva, a sole trader (trabalhador independente) in Portugal, Portuguese tax number (NIF) 257407804.

Terms

Setup: free. You pay nothing until you have seen and approved your site.
Subscription: €39 a month or €390 a year, including hosting, the domain (registered in your business's name) and content changes (text, photos, opening hours, prices) within 24 working hours.
New things (extra pages, online shop, logo): separate quote, approved by you first.
No contract: cancel with 30 days' notice. The domain stays yours; if you leave, we hand over the site's text and photos.
Prices exclude VAT. Business customers in the EU account for VAT under the reverse charge.
We do not promise Google rankings or sales results.
Governing law: these terms apply to businesses outside Portugal and France and are governed by Portuguese law (where we are established). If we disagree, we first try to sort it out by email.

Privacy

Prospecting. We use data businesses have made public (name, address, phone, email, photos and reviews on their Google listing or own pages, and public company registers) to prepare a sample website and present it by email or by message to the business's Facebook or Instagram page. We only write to companies, at the address the business published, about their business. Legal basis: legitimate interest in presenting our service to businesses (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)). Every email says where the address came from and how to opt out; anyone who opts out is never contacted again.
Customers. The data needed to build and maintain the site and to invoice (name, company number, address, email, phone). Legal basis: performance of the contract and tax obligations.

How long: unpublished samples are deleted 30 days after our last unanswered email, or as soon as the business asks. Other prospecting data is deleted at the latest 3 years after the last contact. If you ask not to be contacted, we keep only the email, the business name and the date, so we never write again. Customer data is kept for the length of the contract and then as long as tax law requires.

Providers (we never sell or share data): Cloudflare (site hosting and cookie-free visit statistics), Zoho (email), Stripe (payments), Meta (Facebook and Instagram, for messages to businesses), Supabase (working database) and AI tools that help us write and review.

Your rights: access, correction, deletion and objection, by writing to tiago@sitesdaterra.pt or replying “STOP” to any email. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (cnpd.pt), or to the authority in your country.

Cookies: this site uses no cookies and no advertising. Your language choice is kept in your browser (local storage) and never sent.

Security

Sites and samples are served only over https (encrypted), on Cloudflare's infrastructure.
Payments go through Stripe: we never see or store your card or bank details.
Access to our tools is limited to our team, with passwords and two-factor authentication where the service allows it.
If a data breach affects you, we tell you and report it to the authority within 72 hours (GDPR arts. 33 and 34).

Artificial intelligence

We use AI tools to work faster. Our team reviews every site before it is published, and we answer emails ourselves.
